To Find a Cure For Pediatric Brain Tumors

Rachael’s Ribbons of Hope

Rachael age 12Rachael’s Ribbons of Hope Foundation was started November 1, 2007 and is built on the dreams and the memory of Rachael Newton.  Rachael was only 14 years old when she passed away.

After her diagnosis Rachael made earrings with grey ribbons and sold them to give the money to her doctors. She didn’t want other children to have to go through what she had to go through and her foundation is a continuation of that dream.  We quickly found an ally in the fight with The Brain Tumor Institute which was established at Children’s National Medical Center by the same doctors who saw Rachael Through her most difficult times.  RROH will continue to raise the awareness of pediatric brain tumors and fund research into treatments and hopefully one day find a cure for this devastating disease.

Rachael’s Ribbons of Hope Foundation is an IRS 501©3 nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the research of the Brain Tumor Institute and building awareness of pediatric brain tumors.

In the fall of 2009 RROH became an active member of the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce.

What We Do

·         Funding research at the Brain Tumor Institute as they search for medically viable treatments of pediatric brain tumors.

·         Implementing new programs that are geared towards uplifting the spirits and well-being of children while in the hospital.

·         Providing resources such as links on our website to other cancer related websites for patients and parents.

·         Continued Growth constantly learning, developing and implementing new and better ways to further our mission and the foundation.

Our Research Focus

Rachael’s Ribbons of Hope Foundation is partnered with the Brain Tumor Institute at Children’s National Medical Center.  We support their research for new and better pediatric brain tumor treatments, such as “biologics” that will be safer, more targeted and less invasive alternatives to traditional chemotherapies.  For more information about the research being done at the BTI check out our “meet the Brain Tumor Institute” tab.
